Filing for Support Services

 

Anyone that has physical custody of a child may file for support services. 
You may do so by appearing in the Domestic Relations Office (4th Floor County Court House 48 West Third Street, Williamsport, PA ) Monday thru Friday 8:30 am to 4:00 pm.  Please allow at least 30 to 45 minutes for the intake process. Due to the time involved it is recommended that you do not bring children with you.

When appearing in the office to file please bring names, complete addresses, dates of birth, social security numbers, employment information including employers address, medical insurance information, driver’s license and if available a photo of the other party.

A complete address is needed to file against the other party.  If you do not have this information you will be given a locate questionnaire to assist us in helping locate the individual before the support intake process can be completed.

If this is the first time you are seeking child or spousal support, read the steps below and then go to the Child Support Website (CSWS) via the below link.

Step 1

From the CSWS home page, click on “Request Support Services” to complete and submit the questionnaire online.  Upon completion, print your questionnaire.

Step 2

Within 60 days, report to the Lycoming County DRS with your questionnaire to complete the application process.  Intake Interviews are conducted Monday – Friday from 8:30am – 4:00 on a first come first serve basis.

Step 3

Proceed to www.childsupport.state.pa.us/ to begin the online application process.
