Beginning January 1, 2014, all PA DOH EMS Certification programs (EMR, EMT, Paramedic) will be taking the National Registry Psychomotor Practical and Written Exam for state certification.

PHRN PROCESS

PHRNs wishing to take the National Registry Exam, log in to the www.nremt.org website
When the candidate is asked if they are taking a certification exam – check NO
When the candidate is asked if they are taking an assessment exam – check YES
By checking assessment, the program director does not need to verify completion.

 

ALS/BLS PROCESS

The candidate logs into the www.nremt.org website to register. 
The candidate must pay for the exam at that time by credit card or money order.
The program director verifies course completion.
The National Registry Representative verifies successful completion of the practical exam.
The system will then generate a letter and mail it to the candidate so they may schedule their written exam.
