MISSION: The Purchasing Department strives to make the most economical acquisition of quality goods and services to assure efficient operation of County Government, while providing an open and fair competitive procurement process.

RESPONSIBILITIES:  The Purchasing Department is responsible for issuing Requests for Quote, Invitations to Bid and Requests for Proposal in accordance with Federal and State laws, regulations, and County policies.  The Purchasing Department also issues purchase orders, develops term contracts, and disposes of all county surplus property and equipment.

VENDOR INFORMATION:  The County of Lycoming welcomes and encourages qualified vendors to participate in the procurement process. All vendors interested in doing business with the County of Lycoming can complete and submit a Vendor Application Form (below).  Submitting a vendor application form is not a necessary requirement for doing business with the County of Lycoming and inclusion is not a binding assurance of solicitation.  To ensure participation, vendors should check the Legal Section of the Williamsport Sun-Gazette or the Purchasing Department's homepage.
